We believe that every BODY dances and that each dancer is beautiful and valuable because of who they are, the hard work they accomplish, and the joy they bring to the classroom and the stage. We seek to foster creativity, originality, and the individual voice of each of our dancers. Because of this, we mold our classes to best support and challenge the needs of the individual dancer.

Groove & Grow Sessions!
Ages 18 months - 24 months
Saturdays 9:00am - 9:30am
This 30-minute class is a modified version of our Creative Dance class. Students will learn the fundamental tools of musicality, play, and creativity that come with dance. They will be encouraged and cultivated to express their creative minds and try new age-appropriate challenges and tasks. Caregivers are required to be in the classroom to allow the students to be engaged and supported in their first dance experience and to learn alongside them at this precious young age. Caregivers can be a mom, dad, aunt, uncle, grandma, or grandpa to move and bond with the child. We ask the caregiver to be a familiar face to the child to help them feel comfortable in a new environment.
Class Calendar
Starting September 9th, 2024
*Before Nutcracker Rehearsals, there is now a Barre Class students can register for, led by Maddie Burnham, before rehearsals at 9:30-10:00. This class is open to all Ballet 4, 5, and 6 students (They do not have to be in The Nutcracker to register). This will help build the stamina and strength of the dancers.
**Nutcracker Suite Rehearsals are on Saturdays starting in August (Date TBD) 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
**Groove & Grow Sessions Saturdays 9:00-9:30 am starting in October
Tuition Structure
Bi-Monthly Tuition is invoiced in the first week of each bi-monthly dance session (July, November, January, March, and May). Tuition is itemized monthly.
The breakdown of fees is per class session, better known as the weekly rate for the class. If you take 1 class at $16/ class session, and the class meets 4 times that month, your monthly rate is 16 x 4 = $64. When it gets to 2 classes, it will be a similar calculation. $32 x 4 weeks = $128 monthly rate.
**A required registration fee of $25 will be prompted to be paid at the time of registration and the first 1/4 batch of tuition will be posted to your account balance to be paid by the first day of classes, September 9th.
Discounts/ Ballet & Special Classes
Discounts start to apply once you take 3 or more classes. So, once you hit 3 classes you will get a $1 off discount for each class.
Ballet & Special Classes:
Ballet classes have a fixed price for the class based on the number of time the class meets within the year. We have pre-calculated that amount for you and will include this when tuition is posted.
The Special Class fees are a one-time payment fixed price for the class. You pay the total at the time of registration and this covers the class/rehearsals as well as the costume that will be needed for the class.
Absences
Tuition is charged on a per-class basis. Cultivate Dance Collaborative does not pro-rate tuition for skipped classes or absences. In light of an absence, your dancer can make up a class at the same level or younger.
Studio Cancellation due to Inclement Weather
Cultivate Dance Collaborative follows the Waconia school district regarding studio closings due to inclement weather.
The first occurrence of studio closing will result in a full refund of tuition. The second occurrence (of a subsequent day--two Mondays for example) of studio closing, will result in a make-up class at a later date. If a make-up class is offered, no refund will be given. If a makeup class is not offered, a full refund will be given for that class. In the case of a third or more subsequent cancellations, a make-up class will be offered, however, the studio will not refund the third or more subsequent cancellations even if a makeup class is not offered. Remember, your tuition pays for more than just our wonderful teachers, but also our building, administrative, and other studio expenses. Thank you for your understanding of this policy.
